CATO In Depth - Art School Review
I am an art school graduate.
I was never the most stellar student in high school. I never made the honour roll. I never won any awards or scholarships. I was just not the studious type. For the longest time, I thought that I’d be done with school from the moment I got my high school diploma. However, attending the Centre for Arts and Technology definitely changed my perspective towards education. It turns out that I was not a bad student; I just didn’t find the right environment and field to study in until recently. I thrived in my animation school Kelowna because I truly loved what I was learning everyday.

Contrary to some people’s misconceptions of my abilities, being an art school graduate is a title that I definitely wear in pride. I am very proud of my background in art studies. I recently spent the past three and a half year at the Centre for Arts and Technology (CATO), studying in digital animation specifically. While my parents were not initially on board with supporting their daughter through art school, they eventually came around after witnessing my passion and enthusiasm for the arts. My Centre for Arts and Technology review will reflect how much this school has helped me in my personal development.
CATO is located on the sunny shores of British Columbia, although there are also other campuses located in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick as well. It is often described as an arts and animation school, with a special focus on digital design. Some of the CATO Kelowna review that I’ve read online does not do this school justice. Sure, there are students who do not put forth a lot of effort in school, so they turn to the Internet as a venting platform for their problems. However, they are fortunately just a rare yet vocal minority. In my experience, almost every student at CATO agrees this is a great school of learning.

The most popular department in the Centre for Arts and Technology is by far the Animation programs. This is not a surprise, considering that CATO invests in the most modern technologies as part of their educational curriculum. I’ve heard from many alumni that the programs we use in class are actually the software of choice across the industry. More importantly, the faculty staff here is dedicated in teaching you how to exercise your creativity through these technological platforms. This art school Kelowna review agrees that CATO is one of the best animation schools across Canada.
In addition to their stellar animation programs, I also enjoyed a variety of 2D design classes, as well as my audio engineering portion classes - which is unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. The best part about this animation school Kelowna review is that the school gives you opportunity to become versatile in different technical arts. In turn, this gives you the ability to develop transferable skills that you can carry with you in multiple employment industries. I know for a fact that CATO has fully prepared me for the workforce.
